I sense the same in Wisconsin. In southern Wisconsin you see them around.

My parents live north of Green Bay. People in that area don't even know Mitsubishi still sells cars in the States. The U.P. of Michigan is probably worst!

Most of the Mirages I spotted on my recent FL trip were rolling around the towns & cities off the interstates. Aside from mister speedy pants and one G4, I hardly saw any on the freeway.

There's a new (old) pink one in my little town though. That makes 4 (FOUR!) including mine. I'll grab a pic one day.

Wally: Micras are everywhere around here too. Not surprising - there's a local Nissan dealer, plus they outsold the Mirage by 3 or 4-to-1.

Texas is a truck state, so it doesn't really surprise me that subcompact cars aren't all that common here. For God's sake, we have "Texas Edition" badges on all the GM models. Superiority complex much? When's the last time you've seen a "Rhode Island Edition" Sierra? Definately makes me nervous on the roads out here though. Even my Dodge Dakota is small compared to what's on the road now.

In 7 months of ownership this must be the fifth or sixth Mirage I've seen. Christ, they're all over the place.

Disappointing the Mirage hasn't taken off in England! Im not surprised though considering the great selections of subcompacts and compacts you all have. Its slim pickings here in the states.

This car shows its shortcomings after a few months of ownership. On a test drive you cannot get to know all of its manner, or lack of them. I'm seriously thinking of a car change (see thread regarding suspension) to maybe a Vauxhall Corsa or another Vw up!. Then I think about all the convenient extras this will have over the others and the fact I spent £400 on an upgraded music box with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

I had a mirage, then I realised it wasn't a Mirage but this poor wreck. I decided to take a walk down to the post office and here is a sorry sight. A badly neglected Mitsubishi, I think it's a 3000GT. If this car was put back together properly it'll be well sought after.
    Such a shame, although I've never liked a 2 door sports coupe.Name: IMG_20200130_132740.jpg

Wow, that's a hideous paint scheme!

£400 on Apple carplay?!? Your one cool grandpa! Lol. Still though Im disappointed your not happy with your Mirage. If your not comfortable, there's no point in driving it. I think Mitsubishi needs to make more of an effort for comfort for their UK and European markets. Here in the states, older drivers need more comfort and back support, so many wouldnt even consider a subcompact or compact. I imagine since the majority of passenger vehicles in England are compacts, manufacturers need to up the ante for interior comfort for consumers in your zone.

Thats a crying shame the owner let a rare gem like a 3000GT go to rot. That car is the #1 halo car Mitsu ever produced. Decades ahead of its time in innovation and performance. A pity it wasn't easy nor cheap to maintain. My friend at college, had a black Dodge Stealth, a Mitsu rebadged, that was so awesome to go on road trips with. People just really noticed that design. To this day, it really stands out and has aged well.
