I took a couple of pictures with my crappy flip phone.

That is a 7 however its LHD so its a 7 front end on a 8. They're not legal but when I was in the Army in Texas I've seen r32 /33 evo 1-4 and all sorts of **** that was illegal to own but magically with legit registered titles. So Its pretty much all in who you know. Someone clearly was gaming the system.

That makes sense actually. I knew something looked off about it to begin with. He got 4 speeding tickets within his first two weeks back. It was my first time riding in an AWD Evo though and I will never forget the feeling. I still want en Evo IV so badly. Maybe one day.

I picked my 85 up used in the early 90's when I left Honda and gave up my leased Civic CX (another nice, simple, high mpg hatchback). The shady used car dealer had sneakily warmed it up so I didn't realize the glow plugs weren't working. Before I fixed the glow plugs I had to start it by cranking it until the heat of compression warmed it enough to allow the fuel to ignite. This created incredible clouds of white smoke that my friends got some good laughs about.

Other than the glow plugs the only other major problem I had was a self inflicted clutch wound. I wanted to make cold weather shifting smoother so I filled the transmission with Red Line MTL. This worked great until the thin stuff leaked through the seal and coated my clutch. After that I stuck with the spec fluid.

I paid something like $1500 for that car and drove it for six years until the accident. After the accident I got something like $1200 from the nice lady's insurance. Probably my lowest cost of ownership vehicle ever.

However, it was an 80's VW so little things like door handles falling off were fairly common.

Only about 4 more months till the first ones arrive by boat. Prepare to bend over and take it. Looks like people are pricing **** box evo 4 at around 18 and decent ones at 22. Im totally fine with my evo 4 conversion i've got like $3000 into it.

Pretty fancy! I had an 86' 5 speed 4door excel with a slipping clutch, it lasted a quite a while even though the previous owner ran it out of oil.

But where do you put the wife, kids, & the dog!

Is that dash screen for the visually impaired drivers?

Where they usually are: in my imagination!

That's been added aftermarket - screens that huge didn't exist circa 2002. They just have a standard single din head unit from factory.
