    Has anyone every undone or loosened this join in the exhaust for curiosity and noted any difference in how the engine operates?

    it will create a lot of noise due to vibration and metal to metal contact.

    I dumped and renewed my CVT fluid today and changed both filters, car is a 2015 with 84,000km, everything went mostly according to plan, my new pan gasket was rubber, the one that came off the car was metal, I don't know what's better or what but I would have preferred to receive like for like parts, this would likely mess up the torque required for the pan bolts as well but I just did them according to the manual and I'm hoping it'll be ok, I don't know how tight pans should be with rubber gaskets, but no leaks so far and I'll be keeping a very close eye on it for the next few days. Auxiliary filter was a cinch, did it without pulling the wheel fender off, did make use of a small mirror to line up my socket and line up the new filter, no leaks from there either so I'm hoping that will continue.

    Was a bit nerve wracking putting bolts back, if I ever do this again I think I'll invest in a digital torque wrench because I don't know how good my little 5 to 25nm one is and don't have any way to test it, I ended up doing everything up a newton meter less than stated by accident but I feel ok with this.

    Interestingly quite a bit more fluid came out than I had anticipated, manual says 2.4 litres after removing pan bolt, I had more come out than that, after removing the bolt, pan and both filters I had extracted 4.150 litres from the transmission on level ground. I didn't bother measuring what was in the 4L Mitsuibishi J4 bottle before filling the transmission, but I regret not doing so because it looks like I'm further up the dipstick than I should be, but it is very difficult to tell because the fluid is so clear.

    Fluid looked dirty but I have no idea what really bad liquid looks like so it might not be too bad. Haven't noticed much difference while driving, maybe it doesn't buck as much when it shifts to high ratio but it could just be all placebo. I've also noticed it now revs a bit higher initially briefly when gently accelerating from a slow speed, not sure what that's about, might just be the transmission reacting quicker.

    I may just suck out another 4L from the filler some time in the next 80k and put in some new stuff, it did look quite black/brown, anyone have any thoughts.

    ^ Pan filter looked ok, you could see tiny bits of stuff in the screen here and there but nothing huge, didn't know what I'd find so had a replacement and did it.

    Got the crapcan Miata out of storage & serviced the brakes.

    And then parked the crapcan Mirage for the rest of the summer and early fall.

    What I find funny about the oil pan is that the drain point is sat right up high, so If you were only changing the oil you'd get some oil out, but because it's sat up like that you haven't got much chance of dragging any of the sludge out from the bottom.

    I love my SG. I use the "Instant" MPG gauge.

    FYI: the SG fuel cutoff value was too high for the Mirage. Mine was set at ~24, and I don't know if that was the default value, or a setting I forgot about after having it in another car. But too high causes the gauge to temporarily fail to see the resumption of fuel use after a fuel cut-off event (eg coasting in gear above a certain RPM). That causes inflated MPG values. I found a value of ~15 works well.

    I didn't do nothing to my Mirage (Space Star), but I'm sending regards from Greece, where I've spotted 3 Mirages so far, two German and one Greek, but sadly wasn't fast enough to grab a picture (was in traffic).

    My Space Star was excellent on the way here, fighting on par with the hot weather. Didn't bother to write down the average fuel economy as it was excellent, around 5/5.5litres / 100km. I can complain about the fuel tank size though, as fuel down here is double what we pay for, and I'd like to have been able to run on "cheaper" gas for more kilometers.

    At around 4000kms in a month and a half, so getting ready for my first service this autumn, going to be a pricey one considering I need to find some steelies and a set of tires for the winter. Sadly I wasn't able to take much photos of the car around, but will update my garage post later this month.

    I am surprised to hear you would need winter tires in Skopje (and generally in North Macedonia). I know there are mountains, but I thought this area is south enough to get away without having need for winter tires.
