Its because the next trim up, the LE, comes with nice 14" alloys and a fancy metal shift knob for like only $300 more on the OTD price of an ES. At least it was at my local Mirage dealer. I found a lot about the different trims options shopping for an ES and a BE.

It's the ES where you don't know what added extras you're going to get. My 2014 DE base came with chrome rimmed fog lights and a rubber strip for car door ding protection. Most didn't come with that. My 2021 ES came with pinstripes and the OEM center console.

The dealership definitely did the pin strips. And probably the console.

Those sideways pictures are making me dizzy.

Sorry for the sideways pics. No idea how to fix that issue

Oh I love that black trim at the bottom! Give the Mirage a much more stout look. It fits the red body nicely.

If those pics came from an iPhone, it is because many message board forums can't read the metadata correctly on iphone pictures. What I do is I copy the picture on my phone using the screen capture buttons (usually like the volume plus power button on most iDevices). Pics done that way usually post with the correct orientation. It is a real pain.

My pictures are from Android, but I will try to remember this trick and try it next time
This doesn't happen anywhere else though, just this forum.

It will take some experimentation but once you find the camera orientation that works with this forum, it's easiest to simply hold your camera that way for all your pictures.

For my setup, I found it was using landscape orientation with the top of the phone to the left, or rotated counterclockwise 90°.

This is how men take pictures. Women take pictures and video in the "vertical video" mode for some reason, and it always yields the tiny video window.
