My low coolant temp light goes out once the coolant reaches 137 degrees F. Fun fact.

My cold coolant advisory lamp ticks off at about 138*. That doesn't mean the car's out of warm-up mode though. Idle is still elevated until roughly 165 degrees, and the transmission doesn't finally switch into overdrive mode until it's properly warmed up; it has happened at anywhere between 175 and 192 degrees while cruising at 65 MPH, kicking in earlier if more highway driving is factored into the warm-up cycle, so I'm inclined to believe there's a transmission temperature sensor communicating with the PCM and letting it know when to switch from warm-up to standard economy mode.

It could be to reduce transmission stress at lowered temperatures, or to help light the secondary cat. I'm not entirely sure.

There is reference to this indicator in the manual...
    green means it's under temp.
    red means it's over temp.
    Will weld for beer.

Yep, take it very easy on the car during the first two or three minutes the green light is on, until the coolant is hot and the light turns off.
Then, drive moderately for the first 10 minutes or so, until the engine oil is fully hot.
Then after that, have fun at WOT if you like

Your engine oil should be the same temp as your coolant since its all flowing through the engine. Tranny fluid is another story since its separate from the engine. I'm not sure how CVTs react to thicker oil, but manual trans act a little sluggish while shifting when they're real cold.

Mine has done this since day one...it reminds to be gentle with it till I hit the expressway for my 50 mile commute twice a day.

I got used to it and I think most people will.

Do the mirages with CVT come with the A/T fluid coolers?
Cause on most cars it is built into the radiator so the gearbox fluid is the same temp as the coolant.
But due to CVTs running twice as hot, an external cooler is commonly factory fitted.
