So I paid attention and noticed that I don't use the driver's door armrest while driving. So long as I keep my hands on the wheel, I don't use it. My 2015 doesn't have the seat-attached armrest, nor a center storage box.

The armrests are not a problem for me.

I agree, except for the seats. It looks like the she’s have different softer and thicker material, at least the 14 I have is compared to the 15,17 and 19 es at work.
I wonder if our door panels are one molded piece, might be able to add some foam and cover it with something less ghetto? For the piece that holds the switches, I’m not sure I could do a good job coming up with something for there that doesn’t look like crap.

Of all things to worry about, armrests are not a priority for me.

That's what I like about my Mirage - it starts, and stops, it gets me where I need to go, and I don't have to fix it.

I like the black grill. Wonder if it would retro fit onto a 2017?

Good point - I hadn't noticed that the chrome trim was removed.

Maybe you don't have the bony elbows like I do

    Ha! Probably not.

Maybe it's just a difference in driving styles. When I took a driving school, we students were strongly encouraged to keep our hands on the wheel and to hook our thumbs on the spokes in order to ensure positive control of the car under all circumstances. As a result, I adopted this as a habit and rarely take my hands off the wheel.

With your hands on the steering wheel, do your arms touch the armrest?

Depends on where my hands are on the steering wheel. Half the time my knees are hitting the bottom of the steering wheel.

I drive with a more lax style than you Eggman, but I get defensive when I need to. I had my heavy equipment license for many, many years. Driving a car is a breeze; other drivers are the real scary thing.

Anyhow, not enough room in the Mirage for me. That's my fault. I'm like the guy on the Simpsons who is very tall, but drives an economy car. He explains to Nelson that his car is "the best car I can afford"

Nelson - I like his signature laugh. HA-Ha!

I gotta agree, driving a car is easy. Driving a Mirage is especially so. Still, like you I worry about other drivers out there. Part of that might come from commuting by bicycle for years. I adopted the position that all drivers want to run me over.

Driving a Mirage is a responsible choice. If you aren't careful or don't pay attention you are likely to pay the price yourself. I like this.

Personally I am not a fan of the following scenario...

(Buy the largest, heaviest vehicle possible for "safety")
    (Drive like an idiot)
(Kill entire family in small car by smashing into them while distracted answering "urgent" text message)
(Pat self on back for wise choices and walk away unscathed)
