And if you're driving to maximize fuel mileage, you will never be driving around with your AC in AUTO mode. It puts too much of a load on the engine...especially in stop and go driving.
The only time I use the AUTO setting is on the very hottest summer days. Set the temp to 72, hit AUTO, and the let the climate control keep the car cool inside. But as soon as the sun goes down the whole thing is turned off and I roll the windows down!

Honestly, I need to buy a spare climate control unit as well. I am not worried about it failing to function as much as I am about the LCD panel 'bleeding' or going out completely.

On point. The mirage does well in winter within reason. I've never had an issue with heat or AC.
Long trips on the road can get tiring vs a quieter smoother and larger vehicle though.
You could drive it cross country no problem. Would it be my car of choice for that duty? No.
I live in the northen area of Quebec. My mirage has seen worst than 15 inch of snow.
If you want to drive in snow, you need experience and adaptation. You might just not be used to driving in snow or are not using snow tire?

You must have missed the part where I said I've been driving in the upper midwest for for 25 years with tons of plow experience. No mirage is driving through a true 15" of uncut snow. Ever.

If you mean drive in a street that have 15 inch of snow everywhere, that's not going to happen for sure. Look at our tiny tire
But it certainly have no problem getting trough the 15 inch of snow in my driveway, or a few inch in the streets.

Exactly. Another member was stating he could drive through 18" of uncut(fresh, no plowing) snow with his mirage, pushing the snow over the hood. Lol not gonna happen.

This little contest calls for a video for proof of concept.

Hi there is it true in some parts of Quebec snowtires with studs are legal? If so the Mirage could maybe go through most snow, not sure though doesn't help visibility much anyways. I live in Ontario near Detroit more than TO on a map and you get lots of snow... I have been to Montreal a few times but only in the summer nice place cold winters

Hey for 12300 something heck ya buy the thing. That's a sweet deal. I paid 9988 for my new 2019 Mirage 5 speed and I like it ALOT. I would have thought long and hard about getting the GT with auto for only 2300 more. I do like that 5 speed a lot though. I would have test driven the CVT and if I liked it I would have. My oldest Son likes the 5 speed too. But yes but that car. what dealership has them for that. I don't get military but id be close.

That would be a pretty good price. I wonder if that is still available. Under $10,000 for a new 2019 isn't too shabby either.
