to be fair, f1 clutches have been carbon fiber friction surfaces going on two decades now.

The best I ever got from a clutch was a Ford tempo, 5mt, 2.0l 122hp engine. I got s little over 350,000kms then the car was totalled. there was no sign the clutch was going, it locked up tight.

Zero, 2014 ES Plus 5MT, written off but not forgotten.
Zero II, 2014 SE, 5MT, climate She's HOME now!
    Shelby AKA "Cute", 2017 ES 5MT, A/C.

Mirage owners look at the world differently than everyone else, but in a better way
We're driving the Beetle of the 21st century, the greatest small car now available!

Hey dustyb, any updates? How's all the new parts holding up?

Holding up VERY well. I’m still beating the daylights out of it daily and it’s still taking it like a champ. It just rolled over 130,000 miles and I’m hoping for at least another 100k. Mechanically I think it’ll make it if corrosion doesn’t get it first.
