I would be wary of putting more liquid mystery in friend's Mirage, if it's simply a fuel pump issue.

Not sure if pumping high octane gas in your Mirage for a few years does anything, perhaps this.
It's possible that isn't available there. When I was there, 97 was the minimum.

It's not a mystery. It's a well respected fuel system cleaner. Perhaps you didn't follow the link to the product page to learn more about it?

Exactly. When I worked at a Hyundai/ Kia dealership, this was a recommended from the Manufacturer. This is not snake oil in the least. Good recommendation.

I believe Stevedmc has used it with good results. He was having issues also but adding a bottle of Techron cleared his problems.

I wouldn't assume that, and it's very likely a fuel pump issue. I'm not a warring man, but this is 3 vs. 1. And it's probably a fuel pump issue. I.e. Mechanical. Additives might make things worse.

Like adding 92 octane gas in the tank. (address that Eggman)
I'm not a mechanic, pretty sure you aint' either eggman.

It's the fuel pump. Just wait.

Years of putting high octane gas into an economy car, well I think the result is:

Listen to buddy's you tube vid, sure sounds like the fuel pump. 91 is too high compared to the recommended 87. I never called it snake oil but it seems like a bandaid solution to the mechanical issue buddy is having. Funny how people corral over this.

We'll see if might is right, when buddy gets his fuel pump replaced.

Fuels are rated/sold differently in Europe & other parts of the world. An 87 octane may not exist there? At least, it would be rated differently. A 97 octane in other parts of the world would be a 91 octane here for us.
