Yes, I eco-drive. But the Mirage beats its ratings by a wider margin than other cars when driven in the same manner on the same route. That's why I think they were conservative with the ratings.

View my fuel log 2014 Mirage ES 1.2 manual: 62.4 mpg (US) ... 26.5 km/L ... 3.8 L/100 km ... 74.9 mpg (Imp)
The New numbers for Ford Fiesta EcoBoost are 31/43/36 instead of 32/45/37. The Mirage CVT is the most efficient non-hybrid car in all of these three ratings.

I actually think they have. You for example have wayyyy bigger rims and tires yet you are having the "same" mpg that they have stated on their stock car. Everytime i upgraded rims which was twice and changed the dimensions of the tire. I also was getting around 45-47 mpgs. When I had my stockies I was making easy 52mpgs. Then when I tried to be eco I was closer to 59
It's a shame, Ford is probably the number one domestic and didn't need to do any of this false rating.
They are number one in truck sales at least.
Ford is great at only two things I think:
Trucks and mustangs.
I probably won't buy any other.
For what it's worth, when I drove the mustang, their freeway numbers are under what I was observing. I think the mustang v6 was rated 32fwy and I was getting 35 going 70mph.
I think what happened was people bought Fiestas with the 1.0L to get fuel economy ... and then got addicted to the turbo.
If you can avoid building pressure, they'll get good mileage.
Once it starts building pressure, all bets of fuel econ are off. It starts running super rich to prevent detonation.

Those turbos spool up quickly, full boost at 2.5-3k rpms according to my butt dyno.
Asking someone to drive where the ecu shifts below 2k on that truck is hard.
Also, I love music, but when driving the f150, the sound of the turbos were enough for me to NOT have the radio on at all.
