    windshield washer tank fix (won't fill completely)

    anynone else notice that windshield washer tank will not fill properly 2014 mirage DE ? I have a fix
    -
    Cause = fill tube extends to far down into tank not letting air escape while filling = you can only fill half way
    -
    Solution = poke vent hole inside fill tube just below level of top of tank using angled metal tool with tip heated
    tool will easily melt small vent hole.
    -
    Tools = small torch to heat tool + long bent metal tool { coat hanger might work }
    -
    Time = 5 minutes or less
    -
    Now washer fluid tank fills to top immediately I will attach pics soon [ hopefully tomorrow }

    it is the original tank, so it has same capacity as every other 2014 mirage DE , it is just a matter of being able to FILL washer tank all the way. Usable capacity increases when you can fill tank to top without an air pocket in it

    U.S./Canada owners manual says: 2.6 qt (2.5 L)

    EDIT: that's not very big! 25 years ago, my Honda held 4 L (1 gal)!

    So you'd definitely want to make sure you could use the full capacity.
