Plenty of power for my needs. I'd even consider less hp for better mileage. The 1.0 with a 6 speed with 6th being a .55 ratio? That's what I'm talkin' about!

Ha! Yep, I'd like that option too. And we're not alone!

Thread: Poll: 1.0L Mirage engine = 7.5% better fuel economy. Would you choose it?

First off if you purchased a mirage then your first concern should have been saving money and getting from A to B. The mirage is amazingly efficient if you drive it right and has a super low operating cost. Its like nobody understands the purpose of this car. To anybody complaining about power, why the hell did you buy this car in the first place? The acceleration is perfectly fine if you don't plan on driving like a mad man like half the people on the road. Its not like speeding really gets you anywhere quicker anyways except closer to your grave. I understand wanting a powerful fun car but take the damn thing to a track instead of driving wrecklessly. Half of north America drive like its their last day on earth. I suppose my point is that you dont even need near the power people think you do. In my opinion everyone should be driving a mirage like car. Your almost stupid not too.

Some posts deserve an entry into some type of hall of fame here.

Allowances are made for those who stand in defense of the Mirage.

However, insults are to be avoided.

    "Your almost stupid not too."

I mean I'll defend the Mirage all day because the thing will last forever, it has an extremely clean burning motor, the engine needs infrequent oil changes, and it only requires minor maintenance. I love it. I just didn't agree with the absolutes in the above statement. I mean if he's a Sith Lord, then I'm completely okay with it.

I'm with you. It does what it's supposed to do, cheap to buy, drive and maintain. I haven't driven one for more than 30 minutes at a time and probably won't anytime soon. I'm clearly way too stupid to buy one... But honestly, if I were looking for small reliable car the Mirage would be a no brainer. I'll just have to stick with my global warming, ice berg melting, smoke belching truck for the time being. Maybe this winter I'll convert to the small side if I spot a good deal on a used one?

No offense taken. I often type things out quick on my phone and the grammar doesn't always end up so perfect. Plus here in Canada some of our spelling is a little different so take that into account. Anyways though probably would have corrected me too ifi owned a keyboard.
