Simply having tires/wheels differing from the door sticker could be cause to fail a safety check. (If I understood correctly Australia has similar rules) Informed rumor has led us to believe the very near future will require us to pass a safety certification each time we renew our plate registration.
See thread... "2014 mirage part out"
See thread... "New 2017 Mirage SE vs 2015 Mirage ES"

Noteables for upgrade... better feeling seats, more precise driving characteristics, 15" wheels, Android auto, led tail lights, HID headlights.

Just a quick added note... according to all the information I can find the GT badge is not used here in Canada. Here the GT is rebadged as the SEL.
It wouldn't surprise me if the government requires a new safety at each plate renewal. The Ontario government is making a big push to switch people to electric cars. They want to get older more polluting cars off the road.

Actually what they want is more revenue/taxes and will bull**** us with any premise we're stupid enough to put up with to get it.
    Will weld for beer.

If you do not turn on your headlights in the dark these angular accents and fog/driving lights come on.

Amazing, very very beautiful. I am getting another 2017 GT Mirage and keeping my 2014 DE

Congrats on the new Mirage! It looks really handsome in that color. Compliments the style nicely.

I had big plans to mod my '14 but sadly it never happened so this time I'm buyin the bling up front.
lol. i'm also thinking of trading in my 2014 for a 2017, and just yesterday test drove one of the same color and trim as yours.

You guys are gonna love the 17'.
I have found a significant decrease in fuel economy though.

oh wow, is it the car hasn't break in yet? That why the fuel economy is off?

I don't think so. My 14' got great economy from the first tank. I think the larger tires and wheels have something to do with it. I have the 14 inch winter tires on now and the economy is actually better than the 15 inch summer tires.
I expect the changes made to pep the car up a bit is the prominent cause though.
It's nothing I can't live with and driving more conservatively should help.

Maybe when we get some more 2017's in the fuel log, we'll have a better picture of any MPG changes.
