You should be able to see the cable connection on the back of the trans. Check there first. Pictures here........

I'll bet a dollar that you just snapped your clutch cable. Had it happen on a Metro once, and I think somebody here has had it happen on a Mirage. Shouldn't be a tough or expensive fix.
yeah, so i live in cali, i drove to NYC once, to Colorado once, vegas a couple times, mexico a couple times, but lately i just drive in the city and its my only car so i drive it daily.
Just curious, can you tell where the cable broke? Up inside the cable somewhere, or on one of the ends?
Yes, please update with where/how the cable busted.

Story time!
I once had a clutch cable break in a 1982 VW Rabbit in Toronto traffic. Happened at a stop light when I went to shift into 1st gear when the light turned green. I suspected it was the cable and immediately put on my 4-way flashers and popped the hood to get out & confirm.
As luck would have it, the vehicle behind me was a tow truck. He helpfully lit up his roof top lights got out and met me looking under my hood as traffic went around us. He said "next red light, I'll go in front of you and hook you up, OK?"
I said, "Thanks, I appreciate it, but I think I'll just drive it home and fix it in the driveway."
He was clearly doubtful, but I used the starter and 1st gear to get the car started & moving, and shifted without the clutch the rest of the way home, timing lights and stops so I could keep rolling when possible. He followed me for about 5 minutes before I guess I convinced him I truly didn't need his help!
That car was ~10 years old when it happened though. Shouldn't happen to a 2 year old car, regardless of miles.

@somemexican
did you adjust it before? or it was the same state when you got your mirage? is normal for the clutch to get broken? is there anything to avoid?
