I keep looking at them and noticed the gap between the wheel and the cap? Should I remove it and go "naked"?

What prompted your question? Looks? Concern it's going to fall off? Fuel economy?Should I remove it and go "naked"?

One thing I noticed about the wheelcovers on the 2014 I drove: they were the flimsiest hubcaps I've ever seen!
Mitsu apparently applied either weight savings or cost savings or both, because they're hilariously thin & bendy. I'd be afraid to remove/reinstall one in sub-zero weather for fear of cracking it like a potato chip!
