Thanks for posting the update, Mikhail. I wasn't sure if they'd get the results out before the weekend. I updated the sales tables on page 1.

That makes it the 2nd best month of sales for both Canada & the U.S. Nice!

In Canada...

I wonder how much the launch of the Micra, and Mitsu's huge rebate effected things...

Competition is obviously good. 2 well above average months in a row for Mirage since the Canadian price war started. Micra is dominating sales (1250 vs. 470), but that's to be expected. The Micra is much more mainstream, better advertised, and has a bigger dealer network.

Spark sales in the U.S. are still strong (3715), but they only sold 92 of them in Canada last month. North of the 49th, the Mirage (and now the Micra too) is eating GM's small car lunch.

Thanks Mikhail, I fully agree.I think the consumer reports are the Big problem to Mitsubishi. And sad to say people base thir decisions on that.But Mitsubishi has to fight and be Determined to advertise thir. Cars.

Mitsubishi's challenge is to withstand the shower of awful reviews that had rained over the Mirage based on shallow evaluations. They need to make the car attractive to a segment different than that of focused and practical folks like many of us, reaching people who tend to be much more influenced by first opinions.

Thanks Ro1k that's so true.I guess when the public see our mirage on the road that's an incentive for someone to go buy one.and word of mouth.or we spread the word.

Mirage 5-door sub-compact scored its second best all-time month of sales in August with 1,666 units sold.
