    New from Naples, Fl

Hey yall, I bought an 18 mirage es last Monday or tuesday, already have 600 miles on the poor car haha its the 5spd version, and I love it. 47mpg in town to and from work, cant beat this little commuter.

Looking to add cruise (lord help me I need thsi on the interstate...), fog lights, and a proper radio, I want either android auto, or a nav headunit...I have neither, the AA version is different than mine

But, my name is Tim, and I race Swamp Buggies! Youtube it, they're awesome

Hello Tim and welcome to the forum.

Be sure to make a garage entry. It's a nice way to keep track of the work you'll do to your Mirage, and make it easy for the rest of us to keep up.

    Garage empty: add car

Thats cool, last year I drove the Mirage from Miami to Naples and got 52 mpg total. I didnt take i75 I went the other way thru the Micosukee village and all the insects that splatter on your windshield.

I get much better mileage after the car is broken-in like after 5000 miles I mean. But Im definatley in the 50 + mpg club. Coasting in Neutral in the city really saves so much gas

The low rolling resistance tires are awesome. I often have to press my brakes even coasting in Neutral i will "catch up" to a guy in an automatic that has his foot on the accelerator and I can still catch up to him in Neutral

The car will roll for over 2 blocks in Neutral with the engine turned off. I have been turning off the motor 1 block away from my house and I roll into the driveway like a Ninja.

    Welcome Timinator!

What prompted you to get a Mirage? Didn't you read the big-name reviews?

Great question, Metro. Tim, don't you know that according to the pros 'walking or riding the bus are viable alternatives' to the Mirage?
