Are not out yet, but will they be higher?
Back of the napkin calculations show CD reduction from .28 to .27 should be good for +1MPG on highway.

To my untrained eye, the front fascia on the 2017 looks like it has more aerodynamic drag than the 2014/15.

Fuel economy might improve based on the engine improvements brought about by the roller cams. I wouldn't expect any aerodynamic improvement.
I would really like to see the final drive gearing found in European models.

BTW reduced aerodrag, engine improvement and final drive optimization 5%+ MPG improvements are possible. Can't wait!

Where did you see info about gearing changes? I thought the specs Mitsu posted showed the same ratios as the 2014/2015.

Regardless, if the drag reduction alone nets a 1 mpg highway improvement, that's +0.5 mpg on the combined rating.
If they also optimized MIVEC with the more efficient roller camshaft we could see even more, including a bump on the city cycles.
+1 mpg all around sounds reasonable.
Also worth noting: if the aero tweaks to the USDM Mirage netted a 0.01 Cd reduction (from 0.28 to 0.27), I wonder if the Euro/Japan version will come in at 0.26, since it was already at 0.27.

Actually combined EPA is 2/3 city (don't ask why). I had this argument in the past.
Simple calculations show that with 15,000mi annual 2/3 amounts to 10k. Take 250 day driving and it comes to 40mi a day in the city. Speed limit in city 25mph, and avg speed 16mph. 40mi = 2.5hr a day of city driving. Does this make sense?

I thought EPA's combined MPG rating was weighted around 50% highway vs. city.
Ah, here it is:
Model Year 2015 Fuel Economy Guide...combined city and highway fuel economy estimates, which assume 55% city driving and 45% highway
