US: What car models fly off dealer lots? Mirage ranks well in "days on lot" measure
Thanks to Zxit for pointing this out...
According Edmunds.com, a car research and shopping site. The average vehicle lounges on a dealer's lot [before selling] for
59 days.
The Mitsubishi Mirage? Just 18 days (November stats).
As a result, Edmunds.com classifies it as a "hot" model.
It's not necessarily an indication of overall sales (Mitsu sold 1,052 Mirages in Nov.), but of how well demand is matched by supply/production. A high "days on lot" or "days to turn" average means relative to demand, supply/production is high. A low average means high demand and/or constrained production/supply.
18 "days to turn" for the Mirage put it in 5th place in the US market in November (with multiple ties for some spots):

The Edmunds stats also offer some interesting info about transaction price & discounts on the Mirage:
- $15,430 was the average Mirage transaction price (vs. $32,852 average, for all vehicles)
- 5.20% was the average Mirage discount off MSRP (vs. 10.54% for all vehicles)
