Hey ednevell - welcome to the forum!
I embedded the video in your post for you. (FYI, there's a "video" button -- the one to the left of the "quote" button.)
It's surprising how quiet that is at idle.

Since the mirage is pretty much straight pipe from factory, only has a cat and that tiny small resonator at the back, it turns into a tractor when everything is taken. Not an appealing sound really.
Could you do a driving video?
Interested in what it sounds like. Also I can't hear the MIVEC changeover, yours does it at 4 thousand?
When I go back out tomorrow I will get some launch and some cruising video and sounds. Maybe some more time after that at my buddies shop to find the noise culprit. Basically if its quiet on idle and off acceleration and loud on, just gotta find the bad spot in the exhaust design. Or Cap the noise.
Interesting sound when revving from 1-3k. Almost sounds like a motorcycle rev. I like.
Yeah its pretty wild sound
Sounds awful .... like tractor lol

What about fuel consumption when you leave it out?

Without the muffler my mileage went up to 41.9 all city. Haven't been on the freeway for mor than 2 miles since we picked up the car. From those two miles it was noisy, but not anoying like going through town. Also i want to make sure everyone understands that under utah emissions code a vehicle must have a muffler or form of controlling exhaust gases. I have added a directional resonator. One way is super quiet and would increase back pressure the other way is a little louder than stock, but allows less back pressure. I lost 2mpg with the resi. But its way more tolerable in town.
