Not a Mirage... but I spotted this kinda rare Mitsubishi Galant in a parking lot yesterday.

Looked to be very good shape, and in an unusual baby blue colour. Pretty sharp sedan. I almost never see Galants, particularly this late model. Must be more of them in the USA because they sold Mitsus there before 2004*, unlike in Canada.

I had to look that up. I was sure they sold stuff here in the 80's-90's but I guess it was all rebadged stuff with dodge/eagle/plymouth emblems. Dodge d-50, plymouth laser,eagle summit etc....

Thank you, Eggman. I'm still driving my Mirage, in fact I am doing a touch-up paint job with my car today. Just fixing some gravel nicks on the hood.

Yea eh Fummins, they built the Eagle Talon side by side with the Mitsu Eclipse at their old plant in Illinois. But never imported "true" Mitsubishis to Canada until after that deal between Chrysler and Mitsubishi was over. I think that was called Diamond Star motors.

Actually I really like the Eagle Talons.

Just a few weeks ago, I had an older co-worker who, when hearing I drive the Mitsubishi Mirage, start telling me about their 80s Dodge Colt. So it wasn't like people didn't know they were driving fake Dodge Mitsubishis.

Sounds like the older Mirages were pretty good cars too.

Does anyone here own the Ralliart edition I saw at a TacoBell in Cleveland, MS on the rainy night of Feb.10?
I walked out to my mirage and saw a lone car in the drive thru. I hadn't seen that color scheme before and I stood out in the rain looking at it. The driver probably thought I was some kind of freak who was gonna try to jump in the passenger side although I never got closer than 20 feer from it. I realized today it was probably a Ralliart and Google confirmed my suspicion.

I went to bed early last night with a headache. So I work up early, with enough time to stop by Chik-Fil-A before work. As I was sitting inside, a white Mirage pulled up. After eating, I started talking to the guy. Turns out his was a 2017. I believe it was an SE because it had factory aluminum wheels, and the guy said it had cruise control.

NOW GET THIS! He bought it new in Texas in 2017 ... and it has LESS THAN 3,000 miles on it!

It's his wife's car. She only drives it around Peachtree City. Mine warped up to Greenville SC and back (200 miles each way) on Saturday. I've got 40k miles on my 2020! Hehehehe.

I've noticed a new Mirage around town - spotted it a couple of times in a driveway not far from me. We might be up to 7 or 8 Mirages in my little city now.

I ran into my favourite local Mirage this weekend -- a 2014 owned since new by a friendly little old lady. 5-speed, too!

First time I've chatted with her since last year. I asked her when she's planning to sell it. She said, "Oh, I'm planning to drive it into the ground!"

Rats.

So I just saw the little old lady who used to own this 2014 Mirage... she's now on her THIRD Mirage!

This green one was written off in a low speed collision (not her fault). I'm not sure what happened to the 2nd one that replaced it - I'm going to have to catch her and get the scoop.

Was easing on in to work this morning and I saw a red one about the same year as mine. I was rolling up the short side of a line of traffic at a traffic light, the red one was in the longer line. Nice looking lady driving, I gave her a thumbs up about her car, me in the Blueberry. She must have really accurate eyeballs, she looked at me like I was some creepy perv. I didn't notice her wave back. Course, she might not have known if she was driving a Mirage or a 1994 F-350... Oh well. I guess if I were a female, I'd be scared of me too.

My buddy told me that people (OK, guys) who drive old diesel Jettas & Golfs acknowledge each other.

I told him I've waved at tons of Mirages and only got one wave back! Can't say for sure whether the other Mirage owners thought I was a creep though!

Caught her! We're tied for most Mirages owned (3 each, in succession). At the current rate, she might beat me!
