I'm so close you guys, got everything to work and connect, was having some issues but read the instructions on how to use the software, once I click "write to etacts" it loads and looks like it's going to do something then I get this error message: "R/W error: 36 - exceedNumberOfAttempts" I've closed and opened the program and every time I get to write to etacts I get that... -_____- literally one step away from just doing it... ugh any suggestions?
Please be patient.. you have only one WRITE privilege per day as you are using the FREE version and follow satria_wr's instructions.. #3-7.
I ordered my Mini VCI cable from Amazon last week. I can't wait to try it out.
Thanks Mitz, going to go just wait a full day and try tomorrow morning, I'm not using the free version though, I bought the 6 month unlimited (which I know still has a limited number of requests) was working with the creator last night trying to get this darn thing to write to etacts but no luck... I'm going to try again tomorrow morning, if it doesn't work I give up.. It was getting frustrating last night and even the creator wasn't sure why it wasn't working, guess my Mirage wants to be a problem child. sigh... just want that damn outside temp!!! haha ugh..
Can you post the link where you got your cable?
I'm beginning to suspect you've got a defective cable.
Added this thread to the Mirage modifications/customizations list.

No luck...waited the full day without trying it, hooked it up, tried it and got the exceed error again.... sigh.. I got my cable off of ebay, just browsed through and saw one that had a seller with a 100% rating and bought that one. What ticks me off is the new mirages now how ambient temp, I mean if you have the sensor there why not just turn it on, kinda silly to have the hardware/software in place but not to utilize it..
Here's a picture of the temp sensor, it's literally right behind the license plate on the back side of metal bumper.
