They're at it again!
We've already heard nasty things about the Mirage from CR this year (Just In: Small, underpowered 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage and Even Consumer Reports is savaging the Mitsubishi Mirage.)
Now the Mirage has landed at the top of their "turkeys of 2014" list...
Also on the list:The lowest-scoring car we’ve tested recently is the Mirage, earning just 29 out of 100 points in our road tests.
This tiny, Thailand-built subcompact seems like an act of desperation, dressing a primitive Asia-market car with some upscale toys and calling it a day. The weak, vibrating, and incredibly noisy three-cylinder engine provides sluggish acceleration, handling is clumsy, and the cabin is depressingly low-rent.
Further lessening its appeal is its Poor score in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety small-overlap crash test. Shame is, Mitsubishi really needs a homerun, but this car is clearly strikes out.
- Fiat 500L
- Nissan Versa Sedan
- Nissan Armada
- Mercedes-Benz GL350 BlueTec

Actually, the most interesting thing on that list is about the Versa sedan, which happens to be the cheapest car in the U.S. and also the best-selling subcompact almost every single month:
The Versa sedan has the lowest owner satisfaction among all cars, at just 42 percent of owners saying they would definitely buy it again.
