Hello tone & RealmStar and welcome to the forum.
Those are some nice looking wheels. Tell us more about your Mirage! :)
Hi there,
Picked it up about a month ago with 22k miles on it, still smells new. I found the wheels/tires on craigslist (it came with steelies and chunky snow tires when I bought it, which I've stored for now.) Not a whole lot of options (I wish it had cruise) and the Bluetooth is weird (phone controls on the left side of the dash and sound is controlled by the phone's volume, not the stereo's) but I'm getting used to it. Still well into the mid-40MPG range even with the bigger wheels/tires.
No real plans for it other than driving and maintenance, hopefully it ends up being mostly trouble-free.
Nice. Let us know if you have any questions. There are lots of other Mirage owners here eager to help other owners make the most of their Mirage.
For example, I have two things for you to look into:
1. Some Mirages have problems with rear axle alignment. You can read up about it here: Rear Wheel Misaligned? (UPDATE: some rear axles out of spec; warranty replacement) It is expected that some owners who have discovered this alignment problem would just sell the car rather than deal with it.
2. I was able to Enable OEM Cruise control of my 2014 Mirage DE 5-speed Manual. This is one of my favorite Mirage hacks. :)
These cars rival hybrids for fuel economy. Learn gentle acceleration and this car will reward you with excellent mileage.
195/50/15 tires?
Looks sharp!
Do those wheels hurt the economy?
Not that I've noticed, I do inflate them to 44PSI though.
Could you post a few more pics of your wheels from different angles? They look great. I’m still trying to decide on what I want to do as far as wheels go. Do the 7 inch wide wheels stick out? They look pretty flush! Do you know the offset? Car looks awesome!
These wheels/tires ended up being just a little too wide, slight rubbing in the back on heavy bumps/under load. New ones are 15x6.5, 185/55R15.
Looks good!
Well, my one year of Mirage ownership has come to an end thanks to some idiot not paying attention.
Picking up a Golf Sportwagen TDI from the car vending machine this weekend.
I've got the above wheels and tires for sale if anyone is interested, they were untouched in the crash and only have 1500 miles on them.

Wow, that really sucks!
Bummer! Glad you're okay though.
I liked the car, but not enough to deal with non-adjustable rear alignment again (mine was pretty off and no dealer relief in sight.)
