Dirk...pony up a few bucks for a voltmeter that plugs into your power port. Here is an example of one.

This thing will tell you what the charging voltage of your car is while you are driving. If you see the battery light come on again, just glance down at this thing and see what it reads. Then when you post here b*tching about alternators that cost $1,000, you can tell us what voltage you are seeing.

Or just sell it and buy beer. Then send it over here.

By neighbor, the gear head has one, we'll double check it again soon and post the numbers I promise.

Dirk - Sorry I didn't see this thread until now. What a great educational thread. Glad you got it sorted out without sending it to the stealer.

My 2020 is still fairly clean under the hood. I'm going to take a picture of that connection on my car and see how it compares. I personally would replace that terminal and probably that nut ... if there's enough slack in that wire to do so without splicing more in (not a fan of splicing in extra length). And also, there's some goo you can add to that joint that greatly slows down the corrosion and should keep it at least where it's at and not get any worse. I forget what it's called, but will look it up if you're interested. I'm sure I have some and you can just have it, it's just a small tube as I remember. Something like Nolox.

And, if you have any more problems with your A/C, we can do a meetup and I can evacuate it, hold a vacuum and recharge it to the exact spec. Not expensive. The refrigerant is whatever it costs. My labor will only be $999.

Post a link to that goo please. I'll get some today and post pics. Hopefully AutoZone or Napa carries it.

I was off a bit. Looks a bit expensive. More expensiver then when I bought it 5+ years ago. I added 2 batteries to my (previous) golf cart, converted it to 48V, and put big ole fat n juicy cables on the batteries to flow more electronal juice. I used the noalox at every big fat cable terminal to the batteries. That sucker would do 32 mph when I was done. My current gas one will do the same, since my $0.07 modification to the governor.

Thanks man! I'll grab some! The AC is fine. Maybe the ECU needed to reprogram itself after the electrical stuff we did.
