At 16,000 miles I changed the CVT fluid, filters, and gaskets on my 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage. I stripped out 1 of the 3 bolts holding the pan filter in. Well, the hole might be fine, but the bolt threads aren't. I added 1 more magnet to the pan, and loosely put the bolt back in. Maybe it fell out and is rattling on the magnet?
Either way, when the CVT is warm, the car rattles pretty loudly at 1,550 RPM. I can hear it at 50 MPH even. It's not loud loud, but audible. It's coming from the driver side, and it only happens when going straight, or turning left. It goes away when turning right.
It also does Not happen when I have the car in park, or neutral, and rev it. I also did Not reset the CVT degradation level either. Would that cause it?
Do you have any idea what is causing it? If so, please let me know. This is driving me banana's!
