I have a CVT but for those of us who prefer stick shift, looks like there will be no more new manual transmissions at least not in the US 2023 models forward. Also looks like prices are going up

Ugghhhhh, more stuff by default and higher prices. Not a good trend. If I didn't do 10 miles of bumper to bumper a day, I would have got a manual and I still somewhat regret it. Post covid the trafffic isn't as bad with everyone working from home 3-5 days a week. Everyone left the city and the offices are still mostly dead. So dead they dimm the lights in the building to save money in the middle of the day on Mondays and Fridays.
Auto climate control is garbage, and give me manual windows if we can save some more money. If they want to throw more in do reliability upgrades like better metal treatment or disc brakes in the rear.
I guess $16k will be the new cheapest MSRP in America.

$16k = $18k OTD or above for me and that hurt compare to base model Corolla LE for $2-4k more 🤷*♂️

I'd trade with my wife in a heartbeat, her Black Edition G4 for my ES hatchback. I love the 47 cubic ft with the back bench down but the G4 just feels safer, more planted, and a smaller blind spot.
The safety crap is useless (to me) as I pay attention 100%. Most of the rest of the stuff is fru-fru. A/C and cruise is the only things I require.
Power windows are nice. But I could live with a manual window at the driver's seat, and power windows for the other 3.

I miss manual windows

100% agree here. As long as I have cruise and A/C, I am fine with manual windows, seats & climate control. It took me 8 months to find a low-mileage mail-slot ES with cruise + 5 speed but was well worth it.
Is Mitsubishi just dropping the manual for the U.S. market?
This sucks.
