I guess I'll finally replace an engine on one of the fleet cars. Driver complained of shaking like they thought the transmission was gonna crap out. Only code I was able to pull was a random missfire. It's got a slight miss at idle, not enough to flash the cel though. I did an injector kill test and though the engine ran rough as each injector was shut off, it didn't change an awful lot when the #2 cylinder was shut off. So wth, might as well do a compression test. The thing has 400,000kms on it and I don't believe it's been pampered for any of those miles.
Cylinder 1: 168psi YAY!!!
Cylinder 2: 62psi not yay...
Cylinder 3: 150psi meh...
I'll probably take it for a rip before tearing it's heart out to make sure the cvt is still ok. I had the pan off it not too long ago and it was clean(ish) so I'll probably just replace the engine and see how long that cvt holds together.
