Elon claims they're going to make a $25k Tesla but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Here's an interesting interview Elon did with Sandy Munro, a highly respected engineer and quality control analyst, who eviscerated Tesla for its shody build quality. Pretty funny to see Elon's face when he told him KIA in the 90s did a better job with gaps between panels lol.

For $25k though, I'd look at a subcompact Tesla in a heartbeat. They are at the pinnacle of innovation and design, it just the execution at the factories that's raising some eyebrows, or at least was. Tesla might have everything under control at this point though. This interview was a few years old.

Elon introduced it as a $35,000 EV to much excitement. But it was hard to get.
One article suggested Tesla was setting up other manufacturers to offer cheaper prices in order to compete in the market, but profits were so slim especially for new designs as to make it a losing venture.
