And you can't have a new car without getting it's first dent or ding. So angry right now.

Sorry to hear. My first was just 18 mos. ago. I parked, I thought, in a place where I could NOT be hit. Right. 6" scrape on the bumper cover.

It's like the very edge of a door on a truck or something did this damage. Gotta look at it every time I open the driver's door.

Man that sucks Johnny, I feel your pain. It's like people target our favorite little car.

The worst part of it is people don't GAF. I sit and watch some careless idiot fling open the door of their Mercedes and slam it into the car beside them. It doesn't even register in their self absorbed pea brain they have just damaged someone else's property.

I one day witnessed cause and effect quite clearly.

The Audi passenger, a female in her 20's, dressed to show off, flung open the door and did a hard hit on the Honda beside her, it looked like a CRV that was very new. The Honda driver was in the car at the time and got out to resolve the situation. I was close enough to hear the Audi woman condescend and tell the Honda woman it's no big deal, the Audi was undamaged and that's all that mattered, who cares about a Honda?

The Audi woman and driver went into the store. The Honda driver proceeded to remove all 4 valve stems and throw them as far as she could. The she drove away. I didn't wait to see the Audi people return.

Just a quick update. The G4 now has almost 30K on it, so I drained it from the plug, replaced the side filter and filled back up with genuine Mitsubishi CVT fluid. Next service I will drop the pan and do both filters. I also mounted the 14" rims with snow tires for the winter.
