What is that black object on the far right dashboard?

I was casually browsing a used Mirage online and I noticed a black object on the dash located far right and I noticed it again on other used Mirage as well. What is it? And I imagine it was a standard option?

It is not on the 2021+ Mirage so thought I should ask.

Yes! Thank you. It answered my follow-up questions. Never knew it a GPS just to set the date and time only; not for presumingly navigation. Strange.

Apple CarPlay will make use of the cars GPS when used wirelessly(not supported on the mirage). And it can optionally make use of the cars gps in wired mode if the reception is better.You can read more about that here. The mirage has a place for the gps antenna just behind the hazard light switch. You can see it in my Youtube video at around the 4:20 mark https://youtu.be/3752c9OlRms?t=260
