2023 mirage ralliart center console general ideas

Hello everyone. My nephew just purchased a new mirage ralliart hatch. He wants to install a center console without his OEM factory arm rest interfering. Any ideas on what will work? Only the drivers side has the arm rest. Or is he stuck with just his arm rest? Here is a picture.

Any ideas would help as he is looking to install the console if he can.

He's not going to have space without blocking his e-brake since he's got that OEM armrest. I'd recommend a back of the shotgun seat style organizer. Very easy to access for the driver. Link above. I wouldn't let him yank that armrest out, that's nuts.

It can be done however the internal parts of the seat armrest ie yellow foam, metal, etc will be exposed. I have removed it without issue, and am looking forward to install the OEM center console armrest on mine. Should be an interesting result to see.

Wow.. had no idea the armrest is an option, would go for the OEM one. I bought an aftermarket central console armrest, not super convenient as it's obviously blocking the emergency brake. The space between the seats is super narrow, If had the OEM armrest I would not bother with the console. Can post pictures of mine, do some measurements if that helps...

I've heard (don't know the fact) that the armrest is fairly useless. For a big Shrek like me, my elbow might only sit on the tip of the armrest. Yet with a 5 speed, I generally keep my right arm somewhat busy, so I don't mind having neither an armrest or a console.

not sure if the OEM console fits well, but by the look of it it will mostly hit the top part since the armrest look high enough. Just assuming, but if you can measure it up would be great
