Nope, if anything it was a bit tight until a few kilometers up & down the road to see if the transistor gremlins would put the trouble lights out.....I found it was quite smooth while in the process of removing the knuckle to prepare for the new bearing.

And the internal snap ring for the wheel bearing is rusted, one ear snapped off but the remainder is in good enough shape to make removal a real ordeal.....got it soaking in my special home brew penetrating oil, gonna leave it overnight.

LOL... Those lock rings in the Mirage knuckles can be a pain to remove/install. One of mine snapped in half when I tried to man-handle it out.

For anyone paying attention, you have to remove a lock ring in order to press the old wheel bearing out of the knuckle. Some manufacturers (like Mitsubishi) use lock rings that have notches in the ends instead of holes. The one on the left below is a Mirage wheel bearing snap/lock ring. The ring on the right is a traditional snap ring...

Snap ring pliers don't work well on those notched snap rings.

Let us know when it's all back together.

Yeah, I found that certain needle nose pliers work well in a situation where the snap ring isn't corroded to beat all gettup!
Edited to add; I used a pair of needle nose pliers with 20 inch handles for leverage and had my helper compress the ring while I guided it in, a 3 handed job at least.

Got it all back together, all works as it should, no more trouble lights on the dashboard display.

Thanks. I had this idear before tackling the first hub but was reluctant to do it because of its tendency to rust away, but now I just said scr3w it and got the anti rust spray bomb out.....
