11 years ago (5/8/2013), I paid $906.70 for the French tires I had taken off today. Yeah, they were good tires, and had tread left. But were dry rotting and cracked BAD. Those French tires were 11 years old, but only had 44,674 miles on them. I just don't drive the truck all that much in the last 3 years or so. I already got 5 whole miles on these. I can't say I noticed any difference (yet). I gotta get it out on the interstate and let the big dawg run.
Why not mention the previous tire brand by name? Were they manufactured in France?

"French Tires" are made in many countries, including the United States, France, Serbia, Poland, Spain, Germany, the UK, Canada, Brazil, Thailand, Japan, India, and Italy. "French Tires" North America has 20 manufacturing plants in the United States, including facilities in Alabama, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. Some of these facilities include:
Asheboro, NC: Tread rubber and retreading materials
    Norwood, NC: Aircraft tires
    Ardmore, OK: Passenger tires
Starr, SC: Semi-finished products and earthmover tires
Greenville, SC: Passenger tires, earthmover tires, and semi-finished products
Lexington, SC: Passenger tires and earthmover tires
Spartanburg, SC: Truck and bus tires

Thank God no Korean tire factories were listed!

Just for complete clarity, this time, he replaced the French tyres of unknown origin, with Japanese tires manufactured in Georgia, U.S. of A

I'm not sure any tire is of my unknown origin?

I currently have tires from Thailand, Korea, Russia, & India for my Mirage.

We could play match the brand (Nexen, Kumho, Dunlop, Vredestein, & Nokian) with the proper country?

Well daggone! I didn't know they were molded "up in here." Where abouts in GA are they manufactured?

I've seen news reports online about a plant in White and another in Cartersville. Not sure if they're the same facility.
