Make sure car is in Park when shutting off received call

Another call from my daughter with 2015 ES with 100K miles.
    2 and 1/2 hours away

    She had

    Parked the car.
    Hit the start/stop button.
    Radio stayed on.
    Car steady beeps
Tried to start and as expected could not.

    Called me and was expected

    After some talking found out
FORGOT to put it in park

Put car in park and all is Well

I had a good friend call me from work, because she couldn't get her Toyota Camry started even with jumper cables attached by another employee at work. I told her to put her car in park & try again. Problem solved!

The only time my Mirage didn't turn over - I had added a floor mat over the existing factory floor mat. It prevented the clutch pedal from going down far enough. Removed a floor mat, problem solved.

My son called me one time stuck in a parking lot. He turned off the Camry (2003 LE, greaaaaate car), and as he was pulling the keys out he dropped them. They fell in the slot below the console park brake. He tried a bunch of ways to get to them. Luckily he was only a few miles from home. I brought my whole tool box, just in case. I used a magnet on an aerial, and reached down in there. I was done in 2 seconds. He was impressed and relieved as he'd been trying to get his fingers down in there for a while but couldn't. Not exactly the same as the issues above, but resolved quickly like the issues above.
