Be sure to take one for a test drive ASAP - you'll get a better idea of what these cars are all about. After my test drive, I couldn't find a reason against owning one and it worked out pretty good. So yeah, I strongly recommend a test drive.

Every single time I start considering buying something else it never goes further than posting about it then the dream dies after remembering my little black turd still works and costs next to nothing to drive. I can hop in it and drive to Jasper for less than the price of a 24. Eh. It's by far the most reliable car in my personal fleet(after replacing the powertrain), even after some of the crap I put it through and figuring it was destined for the scrap heap twice so far...Until it's no longer structurally sound I'll keep driving it.

I have owned 5 TDIs and put hundreds of thousands of miles on them. The Mirage is very different but appeals to many of the same ideals. But one thing is for sure you will spend a WHOLE LOT LESS on maintenance for the Mirage. TDIs love to be pampered.

Don't ask for my opinion. I'm jonesing for a 38-45' diesel pusher with a big enough enclosed trailer I can GARAGE my 5 MT Mirage in it.

    fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu..........

that is wild! I never imagined it had been done.
    Incredible.

In my dreams I install a 50-60 hp diesel in the Mirage and run it off the same scrounged juice for the pusher.
I also have a "purifier" in my garage for said liquid so no gunk enters the fuel system. And a bench for my snap on junk.
Add a roof full of solar panels on the pusher and the trailer, have a small country lot with a hydro line so I can feed power into the grid and get paid @ 6o cents/KwH

    Life would be puuuuurfect.

I am obviously mentally defective as I cannot see any method to full screen the pictures!! I can't really see the detail like I need.

However, it's almost perfect for my needs. I would prefer the last 8' be living quarters and I would rather pull a 20 something foot trailer as the garage but it's a great start. I have sent them some basic questions. We will see how they respond.

    thanks!!

Just think how much radio gear you can fit in. Where would you put the tower?
