Ha - I love this!
I saw it too. Basically boils down to how similar the car's 0-60 MPH acceleration is to its "passing" acceleration.
These rankings stem from striking discrepancies between 0-to-60 times and 5-to-60 times
The Mirage outperformed a lot of other cars because it's naturally aspirated. Turbo engines have great 0-60, but spool times make the 5-60 times relatively less impressive.
The Mirage was the slowest car in the pack, but it was consistently , predictably slow in both tests.

I'm not dissing the test. But I think "responsiveness" is not quite the right way to define this test.
I think what this comparison demonstrates are those vehicles that have been developed with some kind of launch control (active or passive). 0-60 engages some form of launch control. 5-60 does not.
I'm not sure I'm capturing it quite correctly. But I'm sure you guys follow.
I of course sent this to my coworker with an M5 V10 and let him know that if he wanted a truly responsive engine, he should have saved his money and got a Mirage!

I assume most turbo engines have what is called "turbo lag".
Personally, I thought it was silly/stupid article, in which they used a Mirage to criticize the turbo lag of really fast cars.
Like Darin said, it just proves the Mirage is slow regardless of the starting speed. Saying a Mirage is more responsive is quite a stretch in my mind.
They made their point, and it is valid!
Anyhow, what would the world be without humour, especially in times like these with all those horrible tyrants in the news.

You know I have been doing some highway driving, with the seats out and 1 person driving it is actually decently fast.
April 1st has past!

It must be hard to drive without a seat.
