Question Water Temparature Guage OBD port or Analogue Guage

    Hi All!

I've been using this KW206 for several years now to monitor my water temp.

What i have noticed is, it might be draining my battery but i don't know if it really drains it.

I tried removing it and monitor for a couple of hours or days and my battery doesn't drain and i can start the car fine. But when i plugged it back in, in 1 or 2 days my mirage is hard starting again.

I just want to ask, which will you prefer using a digital HUB or a analogue Gauge water temp where you put a pipe and sensor to the radiator hose to monitor the temp, and which is more accurate.

That device supposedly draws a very small current in the order of just a few milliamps. However, since your observation that the device causes parasitic drain on your battery why not install instead a cable extender that has a switch?
