DIY oil change on a lease

Hi, I currently have a lease with a 14 Mirage. What I wanted to ask is if your required to do any maintenance through the dealer such as an oil change etc. Would I violate the terms of the lease/warranty if I do a DIY oil change? I asked some of the workers at the dealership and they say it's required, can't tell if it's true or not.

You don't have to, you can do it yourself. No one will ask you to show proper maintenance proof at the end of the lease term.

Just don't do anything wrong. If you brake it, you'll pay for it

Its against the law for a manufacturer to force you to perform maintenance at a dealership in order to keep your factory warranty.

    See MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY ACT (1975) USC TITLE 15 CHAPTER 50 Chapter 2301-2312.

Thanks for the info! Paying $70-$80 for an oil change at the dealer is too much! I'll keep the receipts just for records.
