I like the new car smell! Probably because I hadn't had a brand new one for myself in about 20 years until last week.

I've found the quickest and most effective way to get rid of set-in interior car odors (new car smell, former smoking owner) is to drive with all windows down all the time. Obviously not in rain or cold weather, but as much as humanly possible. I once bought a 3yr old used car that was previously owned by a smoker. The car reeked of cigarette smoke, which I hate feverishly. I drove with the windows down all the time and within a few months, passengers would get in and no one noticed any nasty odors. It works, but give it time. New car smell will discipate within the first year. It was gone by the end of the first year in my last new car, which smelled way worse than the Mirage's new car smell.
I love the smell of new car. To get rid of it, put coffee beans in a cup, leave it for a few days.
It helps much with getting rid of new paint smell in your house as well
