Mirage: After some minor updates for the 2015 model year, the Mirage will be re-engineered for the 2016 model year with new sheet metal from the small car's A-pillar forward and some minor design tweaks to its rear. The update will include the brand's new grille and fascia, plus a new hood design, headlights and other updates. Production for the 2016 Mirage is slated to begin in late 2015, and the first vehicles could arrive stateside before the end of the year or slip into early 2016.

Mirage sedan: The sedan variant of the Mirage should arrive in the first half of 2016 for the 2017 model year, though timing has not been set in stone. That's roughly a year later than initially planned.

Some Mitsubishi dealers have test driven the car to provide feedback to Mitsubishi executives.

An optional 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine to power higher-trim versions is under study, according to a source.

Wow , that's a long wait for a sedan . You can get a new 2013 Honda Insight LX for $17,200 . We test drove one about 3 weeks ago . Enjoyed the ride ,etc.. Just couldn't do it . Car has been on the lot for over a year . Only had about 80 miles on it .

Chevysparkforum.com ---Greg_E is the main guy. He just ditched his spark out if frustration. Bought a new Ford Fiesta.

Give it a read when you have free time. It's amazing to see both the number of people with serious issues (severe oil burn and cyl issues) as well as fanboys(and girls) that refuse to accept anyone has issues. Not to mention that from US launch in 2013-April of 2014 chevy didn't have an answer for the a/c in the car alternating between hot and cool air.....pathetic. I'm sooooo glad I went with a Mirage! As long as Mitsubishi stays in the US we will be golden!

I think we have a culture car. Much like the old beetle. I have been waved at multiple times by fellow Mirage owners. In so many ways my little Mirage reminds me of my old beetle days.

Ok, it looks like I will have to wait awhile to get what I am looking for...4 door, manual transmission Mirage with Nav...I can wait. But I am a little envious of you all who own Mirages! I really love this little car! Thanks again for all the input and advice!
