Yes it has DFCO!(deceleration fuel cutoff).
Coasting in general is more efficient in neutral than decelerating in gear with the clutch out because deceleration is engine braking, meaning you are killing your forward momentum/braking/slowing down.
Now if you are deliberately slowing down for a stop sign or stopping for any other reason then sure leave it in gear and let the engine help to slow down.
But for fuel economy reasons coast in neutral because you will roll further at a higher average speed at the cost of a little fuel to keep the engine idling versus decelerating in gear so now you have to get back on the accelerator sooner and waste fuel to get back to a higher speed to repeat the whole thing.
(If we are talking about the pulse and glide technique)

3dplane is right: there are times it makes more sense to leave it in gear in fuel cut mode, such as when you're trying to burn off speed (or hold speed down a steep hill).
But if you are trying to maximize your coasting distances (minimizing brake use), then coasting OUT of gear makes sense.

"DFCO" ...so I'm not nuts
Thanks for verifying that, and thanks for the cool acronym !
Now that I know for sure, I can work on being strategic with it !
Driving a car is a very strategic challenge

It would be cool if the cruise control had 2 modes.
Normal mode would be used to maintain speed (as it is now)
The other mode would simply freeze the throttle position.
