Great news!
The label also states 0w-20 .
That doesn't apply to the valves - that means that no adjustments to idle speed (done with a screw back in the day) and things like that are necessary.
Just posting what I discovered .
I like how the guy disabled comments so that people cant tell him he is incorrect... thus the spread of misinformation on youtube continues.
Well...you don't HAVE to adjust them....
I've got a parts breakdown if anyone want's to see it.
It's got buckets without shims. You replace the buckets to change the clearance.
While I have no doubt that dealers (and others with an interest in selling you services) will recommend a valve adjustment, my general rule is to follow the maintenance schedule created by the engineers who designed the car. At 30,000 miles the manual says you should:
The Mirage uses the 3A92 engine while the 6B3 is used in the Outlander. The 4J1 series is also used in the Outlander. Perhaps I'm misreading this, but it seems that the recommendation for a valve adjustment at 30,000 miles might be an artifact of Mitsubishi handing out the same maintenance manual for all their cars.Inspect and adjust intake and exhaust valve clearance. [4J1 engine and 6B3 engine (intake side) only]
