Apparently enough U.K. readers find the Mirage so horrid that they put it in the middle of the pack of a bunch of bad cars:

Poor handling and a very low-rent feel mean the Mitsubishi Mirage is bottom of its class in many categories – and it doesn’t even have a super-cheap price to reflect that. There really is no reason to buy one, unless you can get a massive discount.

Small car competition is fierce in the UK/Europe: it's easy to find other city cars that are cheaper, more efficient, more refined, handle better, and are better looking.

So it is a bit surprising that Mitsu UK haven't discounted the cars there as much as has been done in Australia or Canada.
