Ya, that's why I was quick to post, I knew it wasn't what you wanted. If it were a 5mt, it's yours. It's only right as you were considerate regarding my '14.
ETA: It doesn't have AC. I have no idea how hard it would be to add it. I suspect it's not worth doing. Ergo, this Mirage holds no interest for me.
I still think it's a good deal for someone looking for basic transportation. I mean, 5 year old car for $2k, probably less.

I'm having a hard time finding a cheap Mirage local. So far I found a 15' cvt 100000km(60k miles) with remote start? and I think may have ac for $5250 all in, and an 18' 5spd pole dancer model with 47k km(30ish k miles) for $8000. https://www.kijijiautos.ca/vip/11708340/

It's a shame about the financing but nobody forced them into it, it's just the way of the world. The purple $2k '14 nea me is a POS, not even worth a look see. It doesn't run so who knows what all is wrong with it. Someone else can gamble on it, not me.
Something decent will show when you least expect it, of when it's incredibly inconvenient to deal with it. The way of the world at work, again.

Well at least you've got a few cars parts cars you could use for trouble shooting.
And yeah, the day after I buy a rusty old jetta or civic $1500 Mirages will pop up everywhere lol.

If it involves swapping flywheels then no thanks. If I have to go to that much trouble then I may as well go whole hog, add AC, rebuild the CVT, etc. Nope. There will be other cheap CVT AC Mirages surfacing. I can be patient. The next 5MT is still yours though, lol, until you say you don't want it.

I lost track of which car you guy's are talking about. If it's a 14' cvt than yes I'd be assuming it'll need a flywheel too.
And yeah why the cvt is out might as well just replace the input shaft and likely prolong the life by a lot. But both of those things sound like work that I don't want to do unless someone's paying me.
