The Mits engines in this era were ****. My g/f had a Mits something or other, add a quart of oil every tank of gas. My 86 cargo van had the 2.6 Mits engine. The owner rebuilt it in his house and it was strong and reliable all the years I owned it. Once those Mits engines were rebuilt they were amazing. Huh. how did I manage to buy an 86 cargo van in great shape with a rebuilt engine for $2200 in 1989. The thing was only 3 years old when I got it. I was only still a part time college prof. back then. what has happened to the world?

Smooth gearshifts are achieved thanks to the efficient 3 cylinder engine...
Dealers are SOOOOO DUUUUUM. They'll make up anything, truth or not, logical or not.

Really, why would someone just make stuff up to sell a car? I don't get it...

Whenever I have a question or concern about my car I immediately phone my local dealership first. They're always very friendly and knowledgeable.

I don't remember if this one has been posted or if it's still availible. 2017 with 270k km for $2000. 5spd non-ac car. We're all out of rad supports for these cars at work. Got a body guy that wants to buy a front clip for $3000 minus rads...I made it know that's a horrible deal... So I'm tossing around the idea of just buying that 2017 from Ontario and having it shipped back and use it as a parts car cause it'd be cheaper than than the alternative and you'd have a potentially a spare everything(high mileage but still lower than most of the fleet by a ways).
Anybody interested in driving a cheap Mirage out here and flying home if work thinks my idea is genius?

Or buy car and send rad support out for under $1000 all in?Then part out rest of the car in your yard lol

Really? I’ll see if work would be up for it. If not I’d consider it and just buy it to add to the front yard fleet, provided it’s not too rusty to pass an oop inspection. Or I’d just sell parts to work..

What's the urgency for rad support / rad / front clips for these cars? Are you guys hitting something? Or does hitting smaller animals (like kitty-cats) doing damage to the front of the car? Or hitting snow / snow banks during the winter? Or is there some kind of defect with the front of the cars that I'm not aware of?

It seems kind of sudden (to me) but as of late it seems like rad supports are all the rave. Maybe it's just coincidence. But likely it's because I'm stupid.

Mine had already been tacoed by the PO hitting parking blocks or curbs. IDK if you have had your car apart at all, but every thing sheet metal in these can easily be folded up like origami with your bare hands. No joke. So when you get in any kind of Front End collision, they are just toast. My car had a super low speed impact where both cars slid on snow and bumped each other. The Chebby Equinox drove away unphased, the Mirage had to be towed with its broken rad
