Thread: Cheap used Mirages you've seen for sale?

Or I could have bought this one...

Fummins! Vite! Achete un billet de bus, destination Boischatel, a l'est de la ville de Quebec:

    A little bit newer (2015),
    A bit more kms (155k = 96k miles),
A bit more body damage (but doesn't look like any airbags went off),
A bit more money: $2800 (but that's just asking price... I bet you could beat 2400)

    Base Quebec special, with CVT.

That car is pretty rough hahaha.

I'm still debating on buying a cheap Mirage if I can find one to thrash for junkyard runs and winter time salt collecting... Prefer a stick shift one though.

Looks to me like a possible deer hit - because of the hood being involved.

Or let's just hope it was a deer.

I saw that one too. Looks like it's been beaten like a red headed step child!

I'd almost consider it if it were closer. I should delete my post's about rolling back mileage on these cars. But this one might have legit mileage. It looks like the drivers seat is fat guyed out, even the rubber pad on the brake pedal seems to be missing. Looks like it'd need a thousand or so worth of parts to make great again

Yeah, that seat condition is a bit perplexing.

We did have one driver that wore out everything in the car around the same mileage as that one though. Steering wheel was worn down, I replaced 2 drivers sunvisors, the writing on the radio buttons was worn down, all the windows were scratched badly from ice scraper, even the paint in some spots, driver door sill had no paint, even had it repainted once. And the drivers seat was pretty trashed too, tore up just like the one in the pic. The driver wasn't large by any means but sure was fidgety I guess.

Yup, I took the bus to Toronto yesterday, and am staying with old friends (I grew up here). Took transit to the dealership this AM (holy moly, that was a trek), and test drove the car:

The car is fine. It needs brakes ASAP (thus low fluid - that's why the light was on, Fummins) - which I fully expected - and a few other minor things. Cosmetically, it's pretty ugly - considerably rougher than the pics and videos showed.

But everything works and it's SO MUCH FREAKIN NICER TO DRIVE than the Miata, Metro or Firefly! This car is going to spoil me. (You know you're used to living at the bottom of the automotive food chain for a long time when getting a loaded Mirage makes you feel like you've finally arrived! )

$2400 plus tax, and no shady tacked-on dealer fees. A great deal. I'll make a garage thread later.

Congratulations!!!! It's an SE!!! Loaded with goodies, no need to drop $1000 to alter the trim level!!
