The base car from both years has no AC. Or power rear windows, or fog lights.
For those elsewhere, the lack of AC is normal in the entry level cars. There's none in the base Spark, Accent, Micra, Elantra... I think even the base Civic comes without air. Of course hardly anyone buys the base trims as a result. It's just a marketing tactic so they can advertise a super low price.
Originally you had to go to the upper trim to get AC in the Mirage, but after the Micra came out they made it optional on the base trim.

thanks for clearing that up. it would mean that the models i looked at are actually a higher trim for a lower price. very nice.
