    Upcoming Trip

I have a monster 740 mile round trip I have to drive on 07/10/15. I'm hoping to average 48mpg but I'll be running the air conditioner all day due to the high temps in Eastern Oregon. It will be interesting. Hopefully take a pic or two along the way.

Dude that is some awesome roadway! I really wish there was long stretches of highway in Ohio... But most places l found go through PA. I love driving where there's nothing but open trees and landscapes...

Take US 30 West and look for the wind farms.

Nice bringing back a five year old thread.

I guess 242 was closed? Never did get around to driving that.

When I lived in Lebanon, I would frequently take Santiam Pass to visit a friend in Redmond. Loved that 11 mile stretch of 6% downgrade.

Hwy 242 was open. It's a definite must drive. So beautiful but very slow.

NICE, dark picture of your Mirage!! And the other pictures were great. I came down to Oregon City, & Gladstone from SeaTac and I got 50.2 mpg. I had to fight the trucks and a little Gusts of wind. I just got back. It looks like your trip is going well. Enjoy
