US model is also A03A. The Federal VIN is on the driver's door panel, but the Mitsubishi JP ID number is on the passenger's, stating A03A. :3

but in the USA we have a 1.2l not a 1.0l..... does the even matter? Where do I find the chassis number? I just bought a 2015 mirage here in the US so I can look it up if I know where to look.

So was there ever any conclusion on the A03A vs A05A chassis? I know the 1.0 vs. 1.2 thing, but in looking at KYB replacement shocks from Japan, they specify A05A. Which is the North American version?

    Not sure.

In the event nobody here has the definitive answer, is this something your friend at MMNA might be able to dig up?

I wonder what foama has? He's got an oddball 1.0l with different rear brakes than we have here.

Is the difference as simple as RHD (A05A) vs LHD (A03A)?

My European 1.0L MT basic model is a A05A

I also would very much like to know if any aftermarket shocks become available, or if somebody finds a suitable alternative replacement.

Btw: In Europe, the Space Star / Mirage supposedly outsells all other Mitsubishi models.

I guess KYB has some offerings, but they need to come out The Philippines or someone else in SE Asia. I've seen the Excel-G and New SR Specials.
